TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – After more than a three-week hiatus from competition, Sycamore women's basketball returns to action on Feb. 19-20 for a home series against Southern Illinois.
Tip-off on Friday, Feb. 19 is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET and Saturday's game will begin at 4 p.m. ET. Both games will be streamed live on ESPN3.
LAST TIME OUT
Sycamore women's basketball was defeated on the road over three weeks ago by in-state rival Evansville in overtime, 70-63.
Adrian Folks led the way with a strong 14-point, 10 rebound performance while
Marie Hunter added a season-best 16 points and
Caitlin Anderson added 10 as well.
Jamyra McChristine also pulled down 10 rebounds, five of which were offensive, to help the Sycamores out-rebound the Aces, 45-43.
A WIN WOULD
A win this weekend would snap an eight-game losing skid on the season for the Sycamores, as well as a three-game losing streak to Southern Illinois. Indiana State would earn just their third win in the last 13 attempts with a victory on Friday or Saturday.
BACK IN ACTION
Sycamore women's basketball will return to action this weekend against Southern Illinois after missing three weeks due to positive COVID-19 cases within their own and other programs. Indiana State last played on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Evansville, making Friday's contest with the Salukis exactly 23 days since their last Valley competition and 27 days since their last home game.
TAKING CARE OF THE GLASS
The Sycamores find themselves at second in the conference in offensive rebounds per game, pulling down 13.4, partially thanks to
Jamyra McChristine's Valley-leading 3.6 offensive boards per game. McChristine is third in the Valley in rebounds per game at 7.1.
