Indiana State Overpowers Bradley for Sixth Straight Win, 67-55

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State men's basketball team won its sixth consecutive game Monday, Feb. 1, using a complete team effort to overpower Bradley for the second straight night, 67-55 in Hulman Center.

Senior Tyreke Key knocked down a mid-range jumper midway through the second half to become the 10th Sycamore in program history to eclipse the 1,500 mark for career points.

ISU (10-7, 7-5 MVC) put together one of its most complete games of the season to take down BU (9-10, 3-7 MVC), shooting 48 percent (24-of-50) from the floor while holding the Braves to just 38.6 percent (22-of-57) overall and 17.4 percent (4-of-23) from three. The six game streak in Missouri Valley Conference play is the longest since the 2010-11 campaign when they also won six.

Key led the Sycamores in scoring, dropping in 19 and pulling down four rebounds. Junior Cooper Neese was the only other ISU player to finish in double-figures, scoring 11 points in the game. Julian Larry scored nine points and grabbed a career-high six rebounds, both Tre Williams and Cobie Barnes scored eight points, and Jake LaRavia and Cam Bacote chipped in six.

Indiana State's 48 percent shooting for the game came thanks to a 52.4 percent (11-of-21) effort in the second half, including 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from beyond the three-point line. Overall, ISU had 12 assists in the game and committed just 10 turnovers.

Bradley had three players in double figures, with Rienk Mast leading all scorers with 17.

Indiana State hits the road for the first time in nearly three weeks as it travels to the University of Northern Iowa for games Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday, Feb. 7.
