TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State volleyball is set to continue Missouri Valley Conference action with three matches inside ISU Arena beginning Friday. The Sycamores host Illinois State Friday, Bradley Saturday and Southern Illinois Monday. All three matches are slated to begin at 6 p.m. ET. Friday's match will air on ESPN+ while Monday's match can be seen on ESPN3.
Climbing the Ladder
Melina Tedrow continues to claw her way up the Indiana State record book -- now at 1,414 career digs. She is now just eight digs away from fourth in the record book after recording 18 against Loyola. Kelly Spisak (2001-04) currently sits in fourth with 1,422 career digs while Kiya James (2008-11) is third with 1,706 career digs.
Getting Defensive
Indiana State has crept their way into the top-50 nationally in digs. The Sycamores rank 46th overall and fourth in the MVC with 16.28 digs per set.
Melina Tedrow leading the way at libero. She sits at 76th in the nation with 4.54 digs per set as an individual.
Going Both Ways
Indiana State ranks third in the MVC as a team, hitting .235 while on the flip side holding opponents to a .182 hitting percentage.
Karinna Gall (128 K) and
Madeline Williams (103 K) rank 12th and 14th, respectively in the MVC. Williams also sits in the top-10 in MVC play with 0.92 blocks per set.
At Your Service
Sycamore setter
Chloe Mason leads the MVC with .53 aces per set. Her 19 aces in 36 sets ranks 15th in the nation. Last weekend, the junior recorded a total of four service aces. She has recorded at least one ace in each match played and a season-high four in a win over Eastern Illinois (9/17).
Setting the Tone
Emma Kaelin and
Chloe Mason both rank in the top 10 in the MVC in assists per set. Kaelin is averaging 6.02 with Mason right behind her at 5.72. Kaelin leads the team in assists and has seven matches with 20 or more assists. She picked up a season high 42 assists in a win at Belmont (9/4). Mason has picked up 20 or more assists in four matches, including a pair of 32 assist matches.

With an undefeated weekend at the Music City Invitational, Sycamore volleyball earned their 500th victory in program history. Indiana State clinched victory 500 on Saturday evening, defeating Belmont, 3-1, on the Bruins home court. The Sycamores' first official year of volleyball was 1977.
