TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The 2020-21 Indiana State Basketball season continues to inch closer and it is time to make your plans now to join the Sycamore Basketball coaching staff, student-athletes and alumni for an exciting two-day event which will raise funds for the program to be used over the course of the season. The Sycamore Basketball Reception & Golf Outing, presented by First Financial Bank, is set for Thursday, Sept. 17 and Friday, Sept. 18 with many different opportunities to participate. The event is also sponsored by Servpro, York Automotive Group and Wolfe's Auto Auction.
Per Indiana State University and the State of Indiana guidelines, a mask is required, except when eating and drinking, at this event. If you are ill or present any symptoms of COVID-19 (difficulty breathing, fever, chills or sweating, new or worsening cough, sore throat, whole body aches, loss of sense of smell or taste) we ask that you please stay home.
Following guidelines from the CDC, we are carefully monitoring Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the situation in locations where the University has scheduled events and programs. The situation is fluid in many areas and we will be in touch should any changes or cancellations become necessary.
On Sept. 17, the Sycamore Basketball Reception takes place at The Meadows, located at 2800 Poplar Street St. in Terre Haute. The event begins at 5 p.m. (ET) with a VIP reception for Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors (detailed below). General admission opens at 6 p.m. with cocktails, hors d'ouevres, a silent auction and a meet and greet with the Sycamores. The program begins at 6:45 p.m. and continues with a live auction. The cost to attend the event is $50 per individual or $75 per couple. Bob Heaton, Jayson Wells and the 2011 NCAA Tournament Team have been invited back and will be honored during the program.
On Sept. 18, the annual Sycamore Basketball Golf Outing will be held at Hulman Links Golf Course, located at 990 N. Chamberlain St. on the east side of Terre Haute. The morning flight tees off at 8 a.m., followed by lunch at noon and then the afternoon flight scheduled for 1 p.m. The afternoon flight will be limited to the first 25 teams registered. The cost to play in the golf tournament is $150 for an individual or $500 for a morning team of four and $600 for an afternoon team of four. Space is limited, so if you are considering playing in this event please register early.
As mentioned, there are sponsorship opportunities for both events highlighted by the Platinum Sponsorship which costs $1000 and includes recognition at tee box with a sign, eight VIP reception tickets and a foursome at the golf outing. The Gold Sponsorship costs $800 and includes recognition at tee box with a sign, four VIP reception tickets and a golf foursome. The silver level sponsorship costs $400 and includes recognition at tee box with a sign and two VIP Reception tickets while a bronze sponsorship is $250 and includes recognition at tee box with a sign.
