Indiana State University is looking to fill 2 positions for the Sycamore Sam Mascot position for the 2020-2021 academic year. Both positions will be trained identically, and will be available for both Athletics and University Marketing job roles for the entire 2020-2021 academic year.

ATHLETICS

• Sycamore Sam is the official mascot of Indiana State University!  Sam is at numerous athletic events including all men's and women's home basketball games, all home football games and many more. Sycamore Sam is the face of Indiana State. In addition to athletic events, Sam appears at community service events. Our mascot is a member of the Spirit Squad and has responsibilities as an athlete at Indiana State.
• Sycamore Sam receives a partial scholarship at the end of our season. We are looking for someone who loves Indiana State University and wants to show it!

UNIVERSITY MARKETING

• Paid hourly - $9-10/hour
• Admissions events - Showing up on Campus tours, Sycamore Preview Days.
• Interacting with students at big events on campus (Welcome week, Homecoming, Spring Week, Polar Plunge, StateDM)
• Marketing - Off-campus events (ex. Indy), Alumni events, walking around campus for school spirit, finals week morale.
• Social media - Dancing in Tiktok videos, Instagram stories, Snapchat.
• Availability - 10 hours/week on average. Can vary based on events and season. Open to working weekends and evenings on occasion.
