NOTES
  • The Series: Indiana State and Illinois State meet for the 97th time on Saturday with ILS holding a 52-45 advantage in the series. Illinois State won the first matchup this season on Jan. 3, 83-69, in Normal, Ill.
  • A Win Would: A win on Saturday would give the Sycamores their first regular season-finale victory since a win against UNI on March 8, 2014. A victory would also give Vicki Hall her second victory over the Redbirds and end a two-game losing skid to Illinos State.
  • Finale Struggles: Indiana State has struggled in their regular season finales over the last decade, going just 4-6 in their last 10 attempts. The Sycamores haven't won a regular season finale in the last five years, with their last victory coming against Northern Iowa on March 8, 2014 by a score of 85-72.
  • Terre Haute's Team: Despite the struggles of the season, the fanbase around Indiana State women's basketball continues to be one of the best in the Missouri Valley Conference. ISU averages an attendance of 1,392 during their 12 home games, trailing only Drake, Missouri State and Northern Iowa in the conference.
  • Hitting the Boards: ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 352 offensive boards (the second-most in the Valley) in 29 games, giving them an average of 12.1 per-game which is the second-best number in the Valley. Jamyra McChristine leads the blue and white with 6.4 rebounds per game, ninth in the Valley.
