TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Sycamore Softball will head south once again, to play in the Memphis Softball Tournament in Memphis, Tenn. on the campus of Memphis University.
First pitch of the tournament against Memphis is slated for 3 p.m. ET before facing off against Belmont at 7:30 p.m. ET.
On Saturday, Mar. 7, the blue and white will play Youngstown State at 12:30 p.m. ET and will play Butler at 3 p.m. ET.
Finally, the tournament will wrap up on Sunday, Mar. 8, and the trees will play Western Carolina at 10 a.m. ET.
Indiana State went 3-1 this past weekend at the Purple and Gold Challenge.
Lexi Benko pitched seven innings picking up two wins. Benko only gave up two hits against UMBC and five hits against Lipscomb. She currently leads the Sycamore pitchers with a 2.14 ERA.
Leslie Sims has a team leading .508 batting average.
Annie Tokarek was on fire last weekend batting .461, Tokarek set the record for most RBIs in a game against UMBC with seven. She hit a grand slam and a solo home run in the same inning. She hit a total of four home runs over the weekend with nine total RBIs.

Indiana State leads the Missouri Valley Conference with a .312 batting average scoring 93 runs, on 154 hits, 28 doubles, 12 homeruns, and 85 RBIs. The Trees lead with their 154 hits.
- Sims and Peterson
Leslie Sims and Bella Peterson hold the top two spots in the conference in batting average. Sims is hitting .508 and is leading the conference with her 32 hits and is tied for first with her 12 stolen bases. Peterson is second overall with her .453 batting average and is fourth overall with her 24 hits. She is tied for first with her 20 RBIs.
- Young Talent
Lexi Benko is leading all Sycamore pitchers with her 2.14 ERA and sits sixth overall in the conference. Benko has a 3-0 record in 19 innings pitched giving up eight runs while striking out eight.
