TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball will welcome the Valparaiso Crusaders to Terre Haute on Friday, Jan. 10 during Paws for a Cause Night.

The Sycamores are teaming up with the Terre Haute Humane Society, WTWO and MIX FM for Paws for a Cause Night on Jan. 10 where fans are asked to bring blankets, food, toys, treats and monetary donations to help our furry friends in the Wabash Valley. Fans that bring a donation will receive a voucher for a free ticket to any home game in February. The promotion will also take place during the men's game against Illinois State on Jan. 11.

- The Series: Indiana State and Valparaiso meet for the 12th time on Friday, with ISU holding an 8-3 advantage in the series. ISU swept the regular season series a year ago, but fell in the MVC Tourney.
- A Win Would: A win on Sunday afternoon would end Indiana State's 10 game losing streak, as well as continue the Sycamores' four-game regular season win streak over the Crusaders.
- Off the Bench: Indiana State continues to get strong contributions from the bench as the season progresses, averaging 23.8 points per game. That trend continued on Sunday against Bradley, as the Sycamore bench outscored the Braves' bench, 24-6, led by CeCe Mayo with 13 points.
- Valley Home Openers: Indiana State returns home ghis weekend to host their first home games of the conference season, start with Valparaiso on Friday evening. The Trees are 6-4 in their last 10 Valley home openers, including a 59-44 victory over the Redbirds of Illinois State last season.
- Hitting the Boards: ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 186 offensive boards in 14 games, giving them an average of 13.3 per-game which is the best in the Valley. Jamyra McChristine leads the blue and white with 6.1 rebounds per game.
