TERRE HAUTE, IND.  – Indiana State extended its home court winning streak to 11 in a row with a thrilling 58-56 victory over visiting Drake in front of 3,414 fans inside Hulman Center. The 11-game home court winning streak is tied for the 19
th-best nationally and is the longest since a 13-game between January 28, 2010 and January 19, 2011. ISU's current home court winning streak began on February 21, 2019 with a home win over Evansville.

The Sycamores are now 9-0 this season at home with the win and improved 12-8, 5-4 MVC while Drake fell to 15-7, 5-4 MVC.

A pair of
Tre Williams charity tosses with 2:39 remaining staked the Sycamores to a 56-51 lead before
Jake LaRavia was whistled for his fourth foul of the game and allowed the Bulldogs to get within 56-53 on a pair of Liam Robbins free throws.
Tyreke Key turned the ball over and the Sycamores got a defensive rebound but
Jordan Barnes couldn't find the net with 1:22 remaining which allowed Anthony Murphy to drill a 3-pointer with 54 seconds on the clock to knot the contest at 56.

Barnes missed again inside before the Sycamore defensive locked in to force a shot clock violation with 6.9 seconds remaining.
Christian Williams inbounded the ball with the full length of the floor to go and feed the ball to
Jordan Barnes. Barnes would drive into the lane and served up a bounced pass at the top of the key to
Christian Williams who drove the length of the lane and laid the ball into the bucket through the net for the 58-56 win as time expired.

Jordan Barnes led the way with 16 points to give him 1,428 for his career just four behind Carl Nicks and Duane Klueh in a tie for 9
th place all-time on the Sycamore scoring chart. He hit a pair of 3-pointers to give him 256 for his career which is the most ever in a Sycamore uniform. Freshman
Jake LaRavia just missed his third double-double of the season with 10 points and nine rebounds.
Tre Williams scored 11 points to also reach double figures.

The Sycamores hit only 38 percent of of their shots from the field (19-of-50), but used a 9-0 advantage in second chance points to secure the win. The win marked the second in a row for the Sycamores in which they were outshot in the game and overcame a halftime deficit. ISU also forced 16 Drake turnovers and turned them into 18 points and held a 26-22 edge in the paint, including the
Christian Williams driving lay-up at the end.

Just as they did in Des Moines during the first matchup of the season, Drake got off to a fast start to take a 16-7 lead on a Jonah Jackson 3-pointer with 14:25 on the clock.
Tyreke Key answered with a 3-pointer of his own on the next possession to trim the Bulldog cushion down to just six points and
Bronson Kessinger followed with a lay-up to make it 16-12.

Garrett Sturtz drove in for a lay-up to extend the Bulldog lead to nine points before
Jordan Barnes hit a pair at the line and
Tre Williams got the Sycamores within five with a hook shot in the paint to make it 25-20. Strurtz hit 1-of-2 at the line with 1:08 before the half to give the Bulldogs a 33-27 lead before Neese answered with 1-of-2 and then LaRavia scored inside to make it 33-30. LaRavia would drive inside as the first half ended and got the lay-up to go before the buzzer and the Sycamores trailed by just one – 33-32.

The Bulldogs would score on their first two possessions of the second half to run their advantage out to five points before the Sycamores embarked on a 13-0 run and held Drake scoreless for nearly six minutes of game time.
Jordan Barnes hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 16:17 to go to knot the game at 37 after
Jake LaRavia grabbed two offensive rebounds on the same possession and then picked up at the assist on the kick out to Barnes.

Barnes' jumper in the paint with 12:57 capped the spurt for the 45-37 lead. After
Christian Williams took advantage of a Key steal for a fast break lay-up as the clock ticked towards the nine minute mark, the Sycamores led 48-41 but the Bulldogs scored five in a row, including a Jackson trifecta with 8:17 remaining to cut the lead down to 48-46.
Cam Bacote grabbed a kick out and buried a 3-pointer with 5:28 remaining to restore a 52-46 lead before Robbins hit a hook shot in the paint with 2:57 to go which trimmed the cushion down to just three points.

th-year head coach
Greg Lansing when limiting teams to 63 points or less. ISU has held the opposition to less than 63 points in each of their last five home wins.

The Sycamores will look for a way to take their defensive show on the road on Saturday, February 1 as they travel to Missouri State. Indiana State will vie to win in Springfield for the first time since 2012 when the two teams tip-off at the JQH Arena at 4:00 p.m. (ET) live on ESPN+.
