Sycamore Basketball To Black Out Cancer On January 25

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Sycamore Basketball has teamed up with Hi-99 WTHI (99.9 FM) to host a Black Out Cancer Game on Saturday, January 25 against Bradley. The game, slated to begin at 2 pm (ET) and televised regionally on Fox Sports Midwest and NBC Sports Chicago, will be played inside Hulman Center.

To join in, we ask that all Sycamore fans wear black to the game while Indiana State dons their limited edition black uniforms featuring the blue outlined Sycamore logo. Fans who want a free Blackout Cancer t-shirt should stay tuned to Hi-99 over the next week and a half to find out how to receive one during select Hi-99 live remotes. Additionally, Black Out Cancer t-shirts will be tossed into the stands throughout the game.

Fans will be ask to donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during the game. Anyone who donates at the door will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize pack from Hi-99 and Sycamore Athletics. The winner will be announced during the second half of the game. Additionally, the black game jerseys that will be worn by the team will be auctioned off in the week following the contest (deliverable to the winners at the end of the season) on GoSycamores.com. Additional information on how to purchase will be made available after the game. All net proceeds from the jersey online auction will be presented in the month of February to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital during the month of February.

Indiana State is currently riding a two-game MIssouri Valley Conference winning streak and are 10-6 overall and 3-2 in MVC play. The game against Bradley follows road contests on January 18 (at Valparaiso) and January 22 (at Loyola). As of today, Bradley is tied with Northern Iowa for the top spot in the MVC.

The Sycamore and Bradley coaches will also be wearing Suits and Sneakers for this game as part of an initiative between the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society.
