GREEN BAY, Wisc. – The Indiana State Volleyball program will open up the 2019 campaign this weekend in Green Bay, Wisc., where the Sycamores will compete at the Green Bay Invitational.

- A win on Friday would be the third consecutive season-opening victory for ISU.
- Indiana State is 18-24 in season-opening matches since 1977 but has posted a 7-3 mark over the last 10 years.

OPENING SERVE
Indiana State will head north over the weekend to Green Bay, Wisc., for the Green Bay Invitational. While Saturday marks the first meeting between the Sycamores and Fresno State, ISU will look to take the series advantage over Northeastern (1-1) and even up the series with Green Bay (3-4).

TRAVEL TEAM
After opening the season at the Green Bay Invite, the Trees will spend the next two weekends on the road at the Spartan Invitational and Wright State Invitational before finally returning home on Sept. 17 to faceoff with IUPUI.

UP-AND-COMING UNDERCLASSMEN
Youth will play a key role for the Indiana State in 2019 as the Sycamores' roster features 10 freshmen and sophomores, making this team the youngest of head coach
Lindsay Allman's tenure.

DEFENSIVE TREES
The Sycamores finished 2018 as one of the better defensive teams in the nation, finishing the season ranked 52nd nationally in digs per set with 16.69.
