The game was broken open in the bottom of the sixth inning as Ty Duvall hit his fifth home run of the season – this one a grand slam – once again with two outs. Pat DeMarco reached on an infield single and after a pair of walks
Tyler Grauer came on in relief. With the bases loaded, Duvall sent a ball into the right field stands for the 6-1 lead. Then Infante homered for the second time in the game – this one to left field to stretch the lead out to 7-1.
Phillip Clark tripled to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning to send home JJ Bleday to extend their advantage out to 8-1. DeMarco's single pushed Clark across to stretch the lead out to 9-1. The rest was academic.
