Three Things to Know
- Pomp and Circumstance
This weekend, and Saturday in particular, Indiana State will recognize its 2019 Senior Class. The trio of Sycamores in their final eligibility will be playing their final games at Price Field after three- and four-year careers in the Wabash Valley. Shaye Barton, Brooke Mann and Bailey Martin will be recognized Saturday morning prior to the final regular season game.
- Not Two, Nor Four, But Three!
Indiana State is dangerous on the base paths but the Sycamores are dangerous on more than just one occasion. So far this season two different ISU players have recorded three steals in a single game, tying the ISU single game school record. First it was junior Leslie Sims at Evansville on April 10 and that feat was replicated on April 27 by Olivia Patton at Valparaiso.
- Stop 'Em in their Tracks
Brooke Mann has broken a school record - one she previously owned. This year, Mann has thrown out 16 runners attempting to steal (see next note). Current data shows that mark sets a new school record at Indiana State, surpassing her old record of 15 runners caught attempting to steal by Mann that she threw out in 2017.
