TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State returns to Missouri Valley Conference play and continues its 12-game road swing this weekend with a three-game Valley series at Loyola Chicago.
Saturday's doubleheader is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET (Noon CT) while Sunday's single game is set for Noon ET (11 a.m. CT). All three games will be broadcast live on The Valley on ESPN (ESPN3).
Series History
Indiana State and Loyola Chicago have met 22 times prior to this weekend's series with each team winning 11 games apiece. But the Windy City is not My Kind of Town for the Sycamores as ISU has just a 1-5 record in Chicago.

Indiana State enters the weekend ranked tied for 14th in the nation as the Sycamores are successful in 91.4 percent of their stolen base attempts. That mark tops the Missouri Valley Conference and is better than most other teams in the country including the entire Big Ten Conference.
- Speed vs. Speed
When Indiana State plays at Loyola Chicago this weekend, it will be a battle of elite speed in the Valley. The Sycamores rank second in the Valley with 53 steals while Loyola ranks third with 52 swipes. More than just fast teams, Loyola's Jessica Shields leads the league with 30 stolen bases while Leslie Sims for Indiana State has 19 swipes, ranking second in the MVC.

...and we don't suggest you test her. The senior catcher for the Sycamores is tied for first in the Valley among the league catchers for gunning down runners in their tracks with 12 runners stopped in their tracks this season. With numbers like that, we really suggest you don't test that arm. But it should be an entertaining battle to see Loyola's Jessica Shields potentially test Mann's arm.
