SYCAMORES OFF TO BEST START IN PROGRAM HISTORY
Sixth year head coach
Mitch Hannahs has his squad off to the best start in program history at 21-4. The Sycamores opened the season with seven-straight victories before recording nine-straight to open the month of March. Indiana State is 9-3 on the road, 6-1 at home and 5-0 in neutral site contests this season. ISU's four losses have all been one-run contests.

LOOKING AT INDIANA STATE
The Sycamores have seen their team average slowly climb this season, now hitting .282 as a squad. Catcher
Max Wright leads the Sycamores with a .357 average while three other ISU batters are hitting above .300 on the year. Indiana State has the sixth-best team ERA in collegiate baseball at 2.78 through the first half of the season.Â

JUMPING ON TOP AND CLOSING THEM OUT
Indiana State has put up runs consistently this season, averaging seven runs a game and has outscored opponents, 168-81. ISU has outscored opponents 31-5 in the first inning and 23-14 in the second. The Sycamores put up more than opponents in all but two innings this season, including a 27-9 mark in the eighth and ninth innings.

PITCHING STRONG FOR THE SYCAMORES
The pitching staff for the Sycamores has been outstanding so far this season, allowing 70 earned runs in 226.2 innings of work. The team 2.78 ERA ranks sixth nationally. Five Sycamores have ERA's lower than 2.60 through 25 games. Starting pitcher
Tyler Whitbread has a 1.42 ERA in six starts and 38 innings while right-handed reliever
Jake Ridgway has a 2.28 ERA in 14 appearances out of the bullpen.

ALL-TIME VS PURDUE
Indiana State leads the all-time series with Purdue 41-31-2 in a series that began in 1902. The two programs split their meetings in 2018 with each team winning on the road. The Sycamores took the first game of 2019 at Bob Warn Field, 4-3.Â
