TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State will begin its final weekend of regular season play a day earlier than normal with Southern Illinois visiting Hulman Center on Thursday evening.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. with Jordan Eldridge and Baylee Chamberlain calling the action on ESPN+ while Andrew Kappes will have the call on the Sycamore Radio Network. Thursday's radio broadcast will air only online at GoSycamores.com due to a scheduling conflict with the Sycamore Men's Basketball game at Arch Madness.
Series History
- This will be the 91st meeting between the two schools.
- Indiana State holds a 55-35 advantage in the all-time series with a 32-20 advantage in games played in Terre Haute.
- Southern Illinois has flipped the script on the Sycamores in recent years, having won four of the last five meetings but the Sycamores claimed a 61-58 win in Carobondale earlier this year.

With the end of the regular season drawing nigh, the seedings for Hoops in the Heartland is beginning to take shape. Entering this week, Indiana State is still vying for the best seed possible with the Sycamores able to finish with the Nos. 6, 7 or 8 seeds.
- Lee Hitting 3-Pointers at Notable Rate
Indiana State redshirt senior Tamara Lee is making 3-pointers at a remarkable rate this year, so much so she is on pace to place in the top-10 charts for career 3-point field goal percentage in her short time at Indiana State. She enters this week ranked seventh all-time at Indiana State in 3-point field goal percentage.
- O'Neal Charging Ahead
Ashli O'Neal has steadily put together one of the most impressive defensive performances of the season in the Missouri Valley Conference. She enters this week's action with a team-leading 25 charges drawn this season while leading the Valley with 2.41 steals per game. Despite her 5-foot-5 stature, O'Neal has also recorded two blocks this year.
- 20 Dishes
Indiana State recorded 20 assists in its Feb. 24 game at No. 24/24 Drake, a feat that has been rare among the Trees. The Sycamores have only recorded 20-plus assists in one other game since the start of the 2014-15 season, dishing out 20 assists at Eastern Illinois on Nov. 28, 2016.
- Tubner Named to 30 Under 30
Indiana State Assistant Coach Roman Tubner was honored Wednesday as he was named to the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Thirty Under 30 list for the 2018-19 season. The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program was created to recognize 30 up-and-coming women's basketball coaches age 30 and under at all levels of the game. Each honoree has exemplified their involvement in community service, mentorship and impact on others, professional manner, and attitude and professional association involvement.
