ST. LOUIS - After a strong start to the outdoor season at the Black & Gold Invitational, Brooke Moore has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.

Distance star Brooke Moore began her outdoor season with a strong race for the blue and white in a deep field of women's 1500-meter run. The senior crossed the finish line in fourth with a time of 4:27.26 in a race where first and fifth place were separated by just one second. She now leads the conference by seven seconds, is 12th in the East Region and is 21st in the NCAA.
