- Indiana State holds a 12-5 advantage in the all-time series and has won six of the last seven in the series. The Trees have never lost consecutive games to the Ramblers.
- A majority of that dominance has come in the Wabash Valley, where the Sycamores are 7-0 against Loyola.
- The series has had a wide variety of scores with the Trees winning with 101 points in 2006 while also winning with just 47 points in 2017.
Five Things to Know
- Have you seen the GOAT?
If you haven't, you will get your chance Friday. That is when Indiana State will immortalize and forever link the name of Boeglin and the number 22. In a pregame ceremony before Friday's tip-off, ISU will retire the No. 22 jersey of Melanie Boeglin, one of the most prolific players in Indiana State and Missouri Valley Conference history.
- Welcome Back
Indiana State will welcome back 21 former players and managers and three former head and assistant coaches this weekend when Alumni Weekend festivities get underway. In addition to Boeglin, former Sycamore greats including the likes of Barbara Graves, Kristen Weddle Nasser and Celeste Hlebovy will make their return to Hulman Center as will former head coaches Andi Myers and Jim Wiedie.
- A Brief Respite
The Sycamores are finally at home! This weekend's games against Loyola and Valparaiso mark Indiana State's only home games in the month of February in a section of the schedule reminiscent of the start of the season. This weekend's games at Hulman Center provide the Trees a brief respite from a road-weary month.
- More Giving February
Valentine's Day is upon us, love is in the air and the Sycamores are giving more freely to their teammates. Since the start of February, Indiana State is averaging 16.7 assists per game, a jump from the average of 10.4 assists per game prior to the calendar year's shortest month. But the giving ends there as ISU turnovers, averaging 19.5 per game until February, have dropped to just 14.7 per game since the start of the month.
- Cardiac Trees
Indiana State is keeping fans on the edge of their seats for a full 40 minutes each game. The Sycamores have played in 11 games that have been decided by 10 or fewer points this season, posting a 7-5 record in those games. ISU has not posted a winning record in those types of games since going 8-6 during the 2014-15 season.
