TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A timeout changed the momentum and, in the end, the outcome. Indiana State Head Volleyball Coach
Lindsay Allman called timeout as the Sycamores trailed 13-10 in the decisive third set to regroup her squad. Then the Sycamores went on a 6-1 run to claim the set and a 3-2 match victory over Green Bay at ISU Arena Saturday night.

Laura Gross had a double-double with 15 blocks and 21 digs and
Rhiannon Morozoff put down 12 kills herself but it was defensive effort of
Damadj Johnson that marked the difference for Indiana State (5-2). Johnson's 10 total blocks (1 solo, 9 assisted) was more than triple Green Bay's three total team blocks in the match.

For her effort, she moved into sole possession of ninth all-time in career block assists at Indiana State and walked off the court Friday evening with a total tally of 218 career block assists.

Meanwhile freshman
Makayla Knoblauch registered her third double-double of the season with 41 assists and 24 digs and also served up three aces.

Set 1 – Green Bay 25, Indiana State 23
- Indiana State out hit Green Bay, .206 to .176
- The Phoenix registered five more kills than ISU in the set (15-10)
- Laura Gross led the Trees with four kills in the set
- Jade York tallied eight digs
Set 2 – Indiana State 25, Green Bay 21
- The set featured eight ties and four lead changes.
- Damadj Johnson was credited with five kills and four total blocks in the set.
- Makayla Knoblauch almost had a double-double in this set alone with 10 assists and nine digs.
- ISU out blocked Green Bay in the set, 7.5 to 1.0.
Set 3 – Green Bay 25, Indiana State 23
- Green Bay's Kristen Paulus and Ashley Sledge each recorded four kills. Laura Gross led ISU with three kills.
- The Phoenix had 16 kills to Indiana State's 12.
- ISU posted led in total blocks, 3-0. Damadj Johnson assisted on two of them.
Set 4 – Indiana State 25, Green Bay 19
- Indiana State hit an impressive .375 to even the match at 2-2.
- Laura Gross led the Sycamores with four kills in the set, hitting .400 on 10 attempts (4-0-10).
- Makayla Knoblauch served up two of her three aces in the fourth set.
Set 5 – Indiana State 16, Green Bay 14
- Indiana State trailed 13-10 before ending the match on a 6-1 run.
- The decisive fifth set featured seven ties and three lead changes.
- Nikkie White led ISU with three kills.
- Indiana State held Green Bay to a .073 hitting percentage in the set (10-7-41).
Notables
- Indiana State snaps a two-match losing streak in the all-time series to Green Bay. The Phoenix lead the all-time series, 3-2.
- This match marked the first time in series history a match was played on either team's home court.
- The Sycamores are now 1-1 in five-set matches this season.
- ISU has won the first match in weekend play in all three weekends of action so far this season.
- Laura Gross (15 kills, 21 digs) recorded her 27th career double-double (and sixth of the season).
