NORMAL, Ill. – Laura Gross and
Makayla Knoblauch both posted double-doubles and were two of the four Sycamores in double-digit kills in Missouri Valley Conference action Saturday night but Indiana State dropped a 3-1 decision to Illinois State in front of 1,326 at Redbird Arena. Set scores were 25-11, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-19.

Gross's 12 kills and 20 digs marked her 31
st career double-double while Knoblauch's 30 assists and 14 digs marked her eighth and second in as many days.
Chloe Carenza posted a career-high 10 digs while
Jade York (16) also reached double figures in the category.

The 25-21 second set victory for Indiana State (7-10, 0-5) marked Illinois State's first set loss in conference play this year and the Sycamores' first set win over Illinois State since 2015. Â

Illinois State (12-4, 4-0) was led by the 12 kills of Ali Line and 30 digs from Courtney Pence.

- Illinois State jumped out to a 8-4 lead in the set and never trailed.
- Rhiannon Morozoff led the Sycamores with four kills.
- The two teams tied in digs, 18-18.
SET 4 – Illinois State 25, Indiana State 19
- The close fourth set featured seven ties and two lead changes.
- Nikkie White led the Sycamores with five kills.
- Indiana State hit .195 in the match compared to Illinois State's mark of .279.
