Austin had a strong senior season en route to the USA Championships which began with an MVC indoor title in the 3K. She then earned two more MVC championships during the outdoor meet in the 3000-meter steeplechase and the 5K and earned a trip to the NCAA East Regional. At the Stanford Invite in March, Austin broke her own school-record in the steeplechase with an incredible time of 9:54.01. She now holds six records at Indiana State.
