This page is dedicated to a father, husband, and coach who impacted many. Bill Mallory peacefully passed away on Friday May 25, 2018. He was 82 and is Indiana Football's winningest head coach & the first to be awarded back-to-back Big Ten Coach of the Year honors. Bill, who accomplished so much was most known for who he was as a person. You can leave a memory of Bill here.
Bill Mallory was surrounded by a loving family every day. He was married to the wonderful Ellie Mallory. Bill and Ellie have four children: Curt Mallory, Mike Mallory, Doug Mallory, and Barbara Britt. Not only will Bill be remembered as a wonderful father but as well an amazing grandfather and even a great grandfather. His grandchildren: Michael, David, Scott, Emily, Allison, Sarah, Kathryn, William, James, Sam, Margo and Isabella were a light to his world. Although Bill would tell you he had much more "Family". Bill will be remembered as the definition of a family man.
Anyone who knew Bill knew family came above all. His son Curt Mallory was named the Head Football Coach at Indiana State University last fall. Bill instantly became the No. 1 Sycamore fan. He got a chance to be around the program the past year and was excited to watch his son turn Indiana State Football into something special and was going to do everything he could to help. Bill got to see many things turn the corner but had one wish to watch Indiana State stadium renovation transpire as his son changed the culture.
