The ninth annual Ladies Tee event took place at The Country Club of Terre Haute on Friday, May 4. The event, sponsored by Sodexo, brought together 140 participants to support Indiana State Women's Athletics.
"We had a great turnout and some wonderful weather. It was fun to spend the day supporting our student-athletes with friends of our program. The Ladies Tee event was a great way to cap off celebrating the 25th Year of Women's Sports in the MVC. We're thankful for everyone who was able to contribute to a very successful 9th Annual Ladies Tee,"
Angie Lansing, Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator said.
Thanks to the generosity of the sponsors, golfers, card players and lunch attendees, this year's event raised more than $15,000. Since its inception the Ladies Tee event has contributed more than $100,000 in support of women's athletics that directly increases the available resources and opportunities for female student-athletes to compete at the highest level within the Missouri Valley Conference and at the NCAA Division I level while earning their degree from Indiana State.
"Thank you to everyone who made this year's Ladies Tee a huge success. I would especially like to recognize Julie Baesler for serving as our honorary chair. Julie and her committee did a great deal of work to pull off a fun day of activities which raised more than $15,000 to support women's athletics. I am already looking forward to next year's event. Go Sycamores!" Deborah J. Curtis, Indiana State University President said.
