CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Leslie Sims was 3-for-4 but her run was the only one to cross the plate for Indiana State as the Sycamores dropped the second game of a doubleheader Tuesday, 4-1.
Â
Amanda Guercio drove in Sims with a one-out, bases-loaded single in the top of the first but the Sycamores (12-10) would leave the bases loaded in the inning. That would prove to be Indiana State's best chance to score until the top of the sixth when the Trees loaded the bases with two outs but fail to score.
Â
SEMO (11-9) would take the lead in the bottom half of the inning with a solo home run and then scoring on an error. The Redhawks would add single runs in the third and fourth innings.
