BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Leslie Sims continued her hot weekend with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate but it wouldn't be enough as Indiana State fell at Western Kentucky Sunday evening, 6-2, in the Hilltopper Classic.

The host Hilltoppers (11-4) scored four first-inning runs and added two more over the next five innings en route to the win. Indiana State (7-4) would add single runs in the third and fourth innings but leave four runners stranded in the game.

Sims finishes the weekend hitting .500 after reaching base three times Sunday evening. She would score while
Rebecca Gibbs, who was 1-for-3 at the plate, would also score a run.
