TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State linebacker
Jonas Griffith has been voted a Third Team All-American by STATS FCS, the publication announced Tuesday (Dec. 18). The redshirt junior earns the honor fresh off being named First-Team All-MVFC and finishing second in voting for the League's Defensive Player of the Year.
It marks the first All-American honor for the Sycamores since 2016 when Joshua Appel earned First Team All-American status as a long snapper in consecutive years. Griffith is the first linebacker to be named an All-American since 2014 when Connor Underwood earned two All-American accolades.
