Laura Gross and
Jade York were named to the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Scholar-Athlete Team.

Both Sycamores received honorable mention honors.

Gross has a 3.47 cumulative grade point average as she pursues her degree in business administration and put down a team-leading 349 kills and 3.14 kills per set this season. She served up a team-best 14 aces and was second on the team with 435 digs for a 3.92 digs per set average.

York, a junior, has a 4.00 cumulate grade point average in baccalaureate nursing. The Sycamore libero in 2018, she finished the year with a team-leading 479 digs and 4.32 digs per set.

Both Gross and York ranked in the top 10 in the conference in digs per set this season.

Forty-two student-athletes were nominated for the Valley's scholar-athlete team. The criterion for the honor parallels the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) standards for Google Cloud Academic All-America voting. Nominees must be starters or important reserves with at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA (on a 4.00 scale). Also, students must have participated in at least 75-percent of the regular-season matches. Student-athletes must have reached sophomore status in both athletic and academic standing at their institution (true freshmen and redshirt freshmen were not eligible).
