ST. LOUIS -- Indiana State center
Wyatt Wozniak has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive of the Week, the league office announced Monday. The honor marks the second weekly honor of the week for the Sycamores after
Ryan Boyle was named MVFC Newcomer of the Week Sunday.
Wozniak, a Cypress, Texas product, led the charge from his center position, as the Sycamores racked up 569 total yards of offense Saturday at No. 3 South Dakota State -- the most yards since the Sycamores put up 671 yards against Quincy in 2013.
Wozniak, along with his fellow linemen opened several holes for running back
Ja'Quan Keys who busted open two touchdown runs -- the first a career long 62-yard run in the third quarter, before going for a 57 yard run with 2:08 remaining to play.
In total, the Sycamores rushed for 293 yards led by Keys who finished with 159 yards. Boyle added 60 yards on the ground while freshman
Christian Covington carried the ball six times for 37 yards.
