TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State returns home to ISU Arena this weekend for a pair of Missouri Valley Conference matches at home with Missouri State (Friday) and Southern Illinois (Saturday) visiting the Wabash Valley.

It will be a throwback to 2003 on Saturday as the Sycamore squad from 15 years ago will be recognized prior to the match. That team, which won nine Valley matches and swept Creighton, will be back on campus for a reunion.

The first 50 fans to ISU Arena Saturday will receive a free t-shirt.

OPENING SERVE
Indiana State returns home after a three-match road swing for a pair of contests before hitting the road again. The Sycamores will play host to Missouri State (Oct. 5) and Southern Illinois (Oct. 6) before heading to Des Moines to play at Drake on Monday, Oct. 8.

• Indiana State enters another three match weekend with two home contests before having to make the long trip to Drake.
• This marks the second time in three weeks ISU will play two home matches before having to make one of the longest trips for any conference school.

DEFENSIVE TREES
Indiana State is among one of the better defensive teams in the nation, entering this week's action ranked 61st nationally - and third in the nation - in total digs (1,023) while ranking 82nd nationally in digs per set (15.98).

LOOKING FOR THE DUB
Indiana State enters this weekend's action looking for the program's first conference win of the season. Missouri State just notched their first conference win while Southern Illinois is looking to get into the win category in conference play. Meanwhile Drake, the team that awaits the Trees on Monday, is 2-2 in league play.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Missouri State: Traditionally one of the best teams in the league, the Bears enter the weekend with an 8-9 mark with a 1-3 tally in Valley play. MSU is hitting .180 as a team and their most used hitter, Amelia Flynn, is hitting .137 this season (168-100-497).

Southern Illinois: Entering the week in search of their first conference win, SIU is led by Maggie Nedoma, who already hs more kills this season than she had all of her freshman year. The sophomore ranks fifth in the Valley in kills per set (3.47), points (230.0) and total kills (208).

Drake: A Monday tilt in Des Moines puts the Sycamores against a Drake squad that is 13-5 (2-2 Valley) and is 36th nationally in digs per set (16.98) while also ranking 67th nationally in kills per set (13.43).
