TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State finally hits the midpoint of the conference schedule this weekend with a single match on Saturday at Evansville.
 
The single match schedule is a welcome change in Missouri Valley Conference play for the injury-plagued Sycamores, a team that has twice had to play three matches in four days over the last three weeks.

DEFENSIVE TREES
Indiana State is among one of the better defensive teams in the nation, entering this week's action ranked 37th nationally - and fourth in the Valley - in total digs (2,722) while ranking 46th nationally in digs per set (16.64).
 
RESTART THE STREAK
Indiana State enters this weekend's action looking to restart its winning streak over Evansville. The Sycamores had won 10 straight over the Purple Aces before UE claimed a 3-2 win over ISU in Evansville last season.
 
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Evansville: Boasting an identical 1-7 conference record as both teams have faced the toughest start to the league slate of all Missouri Valley Conference teams. UE is hitting .150 as a team and averaging 1.15 aces per set while Rachel Tam leads the Purple Aces with a .206 hitting percentage. Gabriele dos Santos is the Aces' top server with 0.57 aces per set.
