TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Purdue rallied from a five-run deficit Wednesday night at Bob Warn Field to defeat Indiana State 10-7. With the win, the Boilermakers split the season series as both teams won on the oppositions field.
Indiana State (18-16) fell behind early after Purdue (19-18) capitalized on a fielding miscue, allowing a runner from third to score in the opening inning. The Sycamores answered back though in the second with a four-spot.

Kyle Moore drove in a run on a single to left before
Tony Rosselli scored two on a single to left.
Rosselli, a Terre Haute native, smacked his fifth home run of the season with a three-run blast in the fourth to give ISU a 7-2 lead. Rosselli led the way for the Trees after finishing 3-for-5 with a home run and five RBI.
Purdue got into the Sycamore bullpen on the scheduled staff start in the sixth, scoring a pair of runs to pull within three at 7-4. The Boilermakers put up five runs in the seventh before adding an insurance run in the ninth to hang on for the win. PU scored the final eight runs of the game.
Three uncharacteristic errors hurt the Trees on the night as just six of Purdue's 10 runs were earned. The Sycamores also struggled on the mound finishing with a season high seven wild pitches in the game.
Ethan Larrison was charged with the loss, falling to 1-2 on the season after giving up a pair of unearned runs in the seventh.
Triston Polley was hit for three runs, two of which were unearned in the seventh as well.
Tanner Schumacher (1-3) picked up his first win of the season after going three innings in relief and allowing just one hit. Skyler Hunter led the Boilermakers with a 2-for-4 performance and four RBIs.
Indiana State returns to action this weekend when they travel to Dallas Baptist to take on the Patriots at Horner Ballpark. Friday and Saturday's games will air live on The Valley On ESPN3 while Sunday's finale will air nationwide on ESPNU.
