CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Indiana State women's basketball dropped its opening exhibition contest to Eastern Illinois, 77-70 inside Lantz Arena Friday night as part of a Hurricane Relief Charity event.

Indiana State shot 47 percent (7-of-15) in the first quarter and continued their hot shooting in the second, jumping out to a six-point lead with 3:33 left before halftime thanks to free throws from
AJ Thomas and
Alexis Delgado.
The Panther defense would be out in full force midway through the second, as EIU did not allow the Sycamores a field goal for the final 5:02 of the second quarter as they used an 8-2 run to knot the game at 35 at the break.
Bibbins led the Sycamores at the break with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting while sophomore
