Terre Haute, Ind.—Indiana State fell to the Butler Bulldogs by a score of three to zero tonight in Indianapolis, Ind.
ISU fought another long defensive battle on a humid night at the Butler Bowl. The Sycamores held the Bulldogs to eight shots in the first half while tallying three of their own. Indiana State held a zero to zero tie going into halftime.
In the 58th minute Butler got on the board when senior Serina Kashimoto shot from 29 yards out to slip the ball into the lower left corner of the net. Kashimoto added Butler's third goal off a penalty kick in the 80th minute.
The Bulldogs scored their second goal of the night when Halle Stelbasky shot from 10 yards out just barely beating Brittany San Roman to the left corner.
Indiana State had a total of seven shots with three on goal.
The Sycamores return home to Memorial Stadium to take on the Chicago State Cougars on Sept. 11 at 2:00 p.m. This game will also serve as the annual Bark in the Park day.
