Summing It Up
Indiana State Baseball (7-5) is coming off of a 1-2 weekend at No. 22 Oklahoma State. The Sycamores out-hit the Cowboys in game one, but would fall 0-1. Through five innings of play, junior Austin Conway only allowed two Cowboy hits and no runs. Indiana State fell 2-9 in game two. Game three was the highlight of the weekend, as the Sycamores would avoid the sweep and take game three 2-0. Junior Justin Hill pitched ISU to a 2-0 shutout over the Cowboys.

MVC Pitcher of the Week
After a standout appearance in game three against the Cowboys, LHP Justin Hill, and Sycamore newcomer, earned MVC Pitcher of the Week honors for week three of the season. Hill allowed just two hits in 7.2 innings on the mound, improved himself to 2-0 on the mound, and led the Sycamores to their second shutout win this season. Hill currently holds a 1.47 ERA, good enough for a top five spot in the Valley.

A Little History
Rhode Island - The first and last time Indiana State played the Rams was in 1997 in a game that ended in a tie.

Davidson - The Sycamores and the Wildcats will meet for the first time ever on Saturday.

Campbell - The Sycamores and the Camels have also never met over the course of the years, and will play their first time against one another in Sunday's game, the final of the Campbell Tournament.

Scouting The Competition
Rhode Island - The Sycamores are not the only ones beefing up their schedule. Earlier in the season, the Rams (2-7) faced No. 14 Florida State. The competition was stiff, as the Seminoles would earn the sweep, scoring 50 runs on the Rams during the three-game series. Rhode Island currently holds a team batting average of .239 while tallying seven home runs. Key players: Derek Gardella, senior catcher, .375 batting average, .444 on base percentage. Chase Livingston, senior catcher, names to Johnny Bench Award Watch List. Steve Moyers, senior LHP, 4.82 ERA in 18.2 innings pitched.

Davidson - The Wildcats are currently 6-5 on the season, winning a series over Georgetown earlier in the season. Key players: Brian Fortier, junior RHP/infielder, .333 batting average, 12 hits. Clark Beeker, senior RHP, 2.05 ERA, 2-0 on the mound, one complete game, 22.0 innings pitched.

Campbell - Campbell will enter the weekend 7-6 after splitting midweek games with Virginia Tech. The Camels will wrap-up their season with a three-game series with Coastal Carolina. Key players: Kyle Pratts, senior outfielder, .462 batting average in 31 games played. Anthony Lopez, senior infielder, .365 batting average over 52 plate appearances. Nick Thayer, 1.17 ERA, 25 strikeouts, 4-0 on the mound.
