Degano Named to National College Baseball Hall of Fame's Pitcher of the Year Watch List

LUBBOCK, Texas – Indiana State's Jeff Degano has been named to the National College Baseball Hall of Fame watch list for the Pitcher of the Year award. The award, sponsored by Diamond, will be presented on June 29th in Lubbock as part of the annual Night of Champions. 

 

There are 46 names on the watch list, with eight schools having multiple representatives.  Degano is the only representative of the Missouri Valley Conference; with the American Athletic Conference having the most representatives with six. 

 

In 2015, Degano has earned a 2.49 Earned Run Average in 68.2 innings pitched.  Degano has struck out 85 hitters, tying him for sixth in the NCAA Division I.  Degano has had double-digit strikeouts in five of his ten starts, striking out a career-high 12 in 7.0 innings against Wichita State.

Degano will make his next appearance on Friday, April 24th, as the Sycamores take on the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stadium.  First pitch set for 6:30 p.m.
