NEW YORK CITY – Indiana State graduate and NCAA All-American Greggmar Swift continued to lower his indoor 60 meter time as he finished fourth by just four-hundredths of a second in the Howard Schmertz men's 60 meter hurdles at the Millrose Games Saturday.

Just a week after dropping his career indoor best on back to back days at the Meyo Invitational, Swift ran a new personal best of 7.54 seconds in finishing fourth.  The USA's Aleec Harris (Adidas) took top honors in the event with a time of 7.50 seconds which is the fastest 60 meter hurdles in the United State and in the World to date. Jason Richardson (Adidas) and Ashton Eaton (Nike), both from the United States, were second and third respectively with each timed at 7.51 which is the second best in the World.

Swift, who competed in the London Olympics for Barbados, established the Barbados national 60 meter hurdle record for the third straight race. The former Sycamore captured the Meyo Invitational 60 meter hurdle title last week with a then personal best of 7.56 seconds. The time established the Barbados Indoor record for the second straight day as Swift ran 7.59 in the semifinals to originally set the mark.

The Sycamore graduate now has the fourth fastest time in the world.

Rounding out the field at the Millrose Games were Jeff Porter (Nike) in fifth at 7.60, Jarrett Eaton (World Express) sixth at 7.62, Omo Osaghae (Adidas) seventh in 7.67, and David Oliver (Nike) eighth in 7.74.
