Teri Moren Inducted Into 2014 Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

New Castle, Ind. – Indiana State Women's Basketball head coach Teri Moren was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame women's class Saturday evening. Moren was one of 11 members to be inducted at the organization's 13th annual banquet.

“I would like to extend my thanks to the Hall of Fame Committee and congratulations to the other inductees,” Moren said back in December. “This award is not possible without the love, support and sacrifice from a lot of people.”

Moren, a standout at Seymour High School, was a part of four sectional champions, two regional champions and the 1987 state finalists, leading to an Indiana All-Star selection and spot in Seymour record books. Playing under Hall of Fame coach Donna Sullivan, Moren remains fourth in career scoring (1,138 points), fourth in career assists (311), fourth in career steals (251) and holds the season field goals made record (203).

At Purdue with Hall of Fame coach Lin Dunn, Moren graduated among the program's career leaders in assists (275) and steals (116), as a member of the program's first NCAA tournament team. Previously an assistant women's coach at Butler University, Northwestern University and Georgia Tech University, she served seven seasons as head coach of the University of Indianapolis (2000-2007) and is currently in her fourth season as head coach at Indiana State University.

Previously, Moren had been selected to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the Silver Anniversary team in 2012.

Moren is entering her fifth season with the Sycamores, who earned a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title and the program's first 20-win season in eight years in 2013-14. ISU also went on to be the league's overall No. 1 seed at the conference tournament and made have made back-to-back trips to the WNIT.

She holds a career head coaching record of 199-130 in 11 seasons including a 130-73 record in seven seasons at the helm of the University of Indianapolis. She is 69-57 overall at Indiana State and holds a 41-31 record in MVC action.
