TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State
volleyball team will play in their second tournament of the spring season on
Saturday as they join five other schools in the Illinois State Volleyball
Spring Tournament.
Indiana
State will join the host Illinois State Redbirds along with Illinois Central
College, Miami University, Northern Illinois, and SIU Edwardsville in the one
day tournament. Action will be held in the North Gym on the campus of Illinois
Saturday which is located adjacent to Horton Fieldhouse, just north or Redbird
Arena.
“We
struggled in a few areas at our first tournament,” Traci Dahl, Indiana State
volleyball coach, said. “We identified what we need to get better at and have
been working hard these last few weeks. I am really looking forward to seeing
the team compete this weekend”
Indiana
State opens up against Miami University at 11:45 a.m. (ET) and will play SIU
Edwardsville at 12:30 p.m. (ET) before the lunch break. The Sycamores will come
back to take on Illinois Central College at 2:30 p.m. (ET) before rounding out
the competition against the host Illinois State Redbirds at 3:15 p.m. (ET).
Each
game will be two sets to 25 points.
