TERRE HAUTE, IND. ? The Indiana State men's track & field team dropped three spots with the women's team moving up one as the third week rankings for the 2011 Outdoor season were released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Sycamore women's team is 91st in the third regular season ranking, up from 92nd, while the men are now 99th, down from 96th.
The top five remained the same in the women's national rankings with Texas A&M holding on to the top spot followed in the top 10 by Louisiana State, Oregon, Southern California, Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, and Arizona State.
Southern Illinois is the top ranked Missouri Valley Conference team at 22nd followed by Wichita State in 44th, Indiana State 91st, Illinois State 110th, Northern Iowa 111th, Drake 129th, and Missouri State 170th.
In the Hoosier state, Indiana is the top ranked team at 26th followed by Indiana State 91st, Purdue 99th, Notre Dame 102nd, and Ball State 150th.
The top five also remained the same in the men's national rankings with Florida remaining on top followed in the top 10 by Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Florida State, Louisiana State, Southern California, Mississippi State, Stanford, Brigham Young, and Nebraska.
Southern Illinois is the top ranked Missouri Valley Conference team at 54th followed by Illinois State at 78th, Indiana State 99th, Northern Iowa 130th, Wichita State 134th, and Drake 154th.
In the Hoosier state, Indiana is the top ranked team at 70th followed by Notre Dame 87th, Purdue 93rd, Butler 95th, and Indiana State 99th.

SYCAMORE ATHLETES IN THE RANKINGS
Several Sycamores posted performances that rank among the top 100 in the nation after the second week of the outdoor season.
Women's Team ?
Sophomore Felisha Johnson ranks 14th nationally (sixth East/first Great Lakes Region/third in the MVC) in the hammer throw with a distance of 200'-7” (61.14 meters) at the Tom Botts Invitational (Apr. 9). She also ranks 52nd nationally (26th East/seventh Great Lakes Region/fourth MVC) in the shot put with a distance of 49'-11.75” (15.23 meters) at the Indiana Invitational (Apr. 17).
Senior Kelsey Hanley ranks 22nd nationally (11th East/third Great Lakes Region/second MVC) in the discus throw with a distance of 172'-8” (52.63 meters) at the EIU Big Blue Classic (Apr. 2). She also ranks 30th nationally (13th East/fifth Great Lakes Region/seventh MVC) in the hammer throw with a distance of 193'-1” (58.66 meters) at the Tom Botts Invitational (Apr. 9).
Junior Nichole Hope ranks 33rd nationally (14th East/seventh Great Lakes Region/first MVC) in the pole vault after clearing 13'-1.5” (4.00 meters) at the Indiana Invitational (Apr. 16).
Sophomore Richelle Kimble ranks 74th nationally (32nd East/15th Great Lakes Region/third MVC) in the pole vault after clearing 12'-8” (3.86 meters) at the Ice Dual (Mar. 26).
Men's Team ?
Junior Major Clay ranks seventh nationally (fifth East/second Great Lakes Region/first MVC) in the high jump after clearing 7'-3” (2.21 meters) in winning the Indiana Invitational (Apr. 17). He also ranks 10th among all United States athletes and is tied for 18th in the world standings.
Senior Michael Disher ranks 28th nationally (12th East/sixth Great Lakes Region/first MVC) in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 8:59.21 at the Indiana Invitational (Apr.17).
Junior Ernest Rollins ranks 45th nationally (24th East/third Great Lakes Region/first MVC) in the triple jump with a personal best distance of 49'-9” (15.16 meters) at the Indiana Invitational (Apr. 17).
Senior Michael Roberts ranks 87th nationally (43rd East/11th Great Lakes Region/third MVC) in the 110 meter hurdles after racing to a 14.35 finish at the Tom Botts Invitational (Apr. 9).
Freshman Maurice Lyke is ranked 96th nationally (48th East/13th Great Lakes Region/fourth MVC) in the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.40 at the Tom Botts Invitational (Apr. 9).
Freshman Max Tuttle ranks 97th nationally (44th East/fifth Great Lakes Region/third MVC) in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.87 at the Indiana Invitational (Apr. 16).
