TERRE HAUTE, Ind. ? The Indiana State volleyball team will host the 2011 ISU Spring Tournament this Saturday in the ISU Arena. The Sycamores will be joined by Wittenberg University, the University of Southern Indiana, University of Evansville, and the University of Indianapolis.

“The spring season is a great time to work on certain aspects of the game that need fine tuned or corrected,” Traci Dahl, Indiana State volleyball coach, said. “We had some good moments and identified some aspects that needed to be worked on at our first tournament last weekend. This weekend we expect to see improvement in those areas while also seeing some great action on the court.”

Indiana State opens action in the tournament against the University of Indianapolis at 9:30 a.m. (ET). The Sycamores will also play the University of Evansville at 10:30 a.m., the University of Southern Indiana at 1:30 p.m., and wrap up the tournament against Wittenberg University at 2:30 p.m.

Each game will feature two sets to 25. All games are free to the public which should use the Fifth Street entrance to the ISU Arena. A complete schedule of the tournament follows.

The Sycamores opened the spring season at the Indy Collegiate Invitational in Plainfield, Ind. Indiana State played Ball State in their first game and dropped both sets to the Cardinals 20-25, 15-25. ISU also dropped two sets to Western Kentucky 21-25, 16-25 but came back with a big win over Southern Illinois 25-20, 27-25. Indiana State closed out the tournament with a 19-25, 20-25 loss to Xavier.
