TERRE HAUTE, IND. ? Indiana State volleyball coach Traci Dahl announced today that she has received word that Emily Mozwecz will be joining the Sycamore volleyball team for the 2009 season. The 5'9” graduate of Chesterton High School (Chesterton, Ind.) will be an outside hitter/defensive specialist for the Sycamores.

“I am extremely pleased that Emily has decided to join the volleyball team here at ISU,” Dahl said. “She is a very competitive person and has great ball control. Emily has had a great club career leading her team in many different areas. She will be a great asset to this program and I expect her to bring her competitiveness and athleticism to this year's team and make an immediate impact.”

Mozwecz played her high school volleyball at Chesterton High School in Indiana where she lettered for three years. She was named first team All-Area and first team All-Conference while also being named the Chesterton offensive MVP in both 2007 and 2008. She was also named to the 20089 Knox pre-season all-tournament team, the 2008 IU camp all-tournament team, and the 2007 Marquette Invitational all-tournament team.

She was also a member of the Dunes Volleyball Club 18 Black elite team.

Mozwecz plans to major in biology at Indiana State.
