TERRE HAUTE, IND. ? Second year Indiana State volleyball coach Traci Dahl has announced the signing of Auriel Armstrong to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Sycamores starting this fall.
“I am extremely pleased that Auriel is going to be a Sycamore,” Dahl said. “She is a fierce competitor and a perfectionist in everything she does. She is very passionate about the game of volleyball and has so much more room to grow as an athlete. She comes from a much respected volleyball club and I am confident that she will come in and make an immediate impact.”
Armstrong, a 6'1” middle blocker, was a member of the Wilson High School volleyball team in Long Beach, Calif., where she was named most improved in 2006 and received the captain's award in 2007. She is also a member of the Mizuno Long Beach Volleyball club.
Armstrong plans to study communication at Indiana State with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.
