Meet Information
1. The meet will be scored in the following manner: Individuals: 9-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Relays: 9-7-6-5.
2. Quarter inch pyramid spikes only will be allowed.
3. Teams should camp outside the track oval (tents on the north end please). Non-competing athletes are not allowed in the infield.
4. Results will be available at the conclusion of the meet at the finish line. They will also be posted during the meet. The final results will be posted on go sycamores.com and at the Direct Athletics site.
5. Timed finals in all events. Fast heat runs first.
6. Weigh in schedule for implements: Friday: 2:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
Weigh-ins will take place in the track shed, located in the northeast corner of the track.
7. Hip numbers should be attached to the uniform not to the body.
8. In the sprint and hurdle races, athletes should return to the finish line in their lanes.
9. All runners check in with the clerk fifteen minutes before their race to receive hip numbers. The check-in tent is located in the Northwest corner of the track..
10. In the field events, the top two from each team, plus the next best performance will advance to the finals. If there are not two from each team competing, the next best marks will advance to the finals to make a total of nine finalists.
11. The one minute rule will be enforced in all field events.
12. The horizontal jumps will be contested simultaneously using the adjacent runways on the backstretch of the track.
13. Competing teams in the 2009 Indiana State Invitational are Eastern Illinois, Loyola, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, and Indiana State.
14. Because of the length of the meet, we will run ahead of schedule if possible.
15. Increments for the high jump and pole vault are as follows:
Men's High Jump: 1.80, 1.85, 1.90, 1.95, 2.00, 2.05, 2.10, 2.15
Women's High Jump: 1.40, 1.45, 1.50, 1.55, 1.60, 1.65, 1.70, 1.75
