McKenna Announces Summer Basketball Camp Dates

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. ? After leading his team to the quarterfinals of the 2008 State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, Indiana State head coach Kevin McKenna is now turning his focus to helping young basketball players learn the game the necessary skills they need to succeed. On Wednesday, McKenna announced the dates for his 2008 summer camps, including two sessions for individual players and one session for teams to participate in.

There will be two separate individual camps offered by coach McKenna and his staff, including the first session which will take place June 16-19 and will be open to participants from all age groups. In addition, a second session will be offered July 15-18 that will only be available to players from 1st grade through those entering ninth grade. Both camps will run daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Arena Gymnasium located on the Indiana State campus and the registration fee is $140 dollars per camper.

Not only will individual players be able to hone their skills at the camp, but there will also be special camp designated for teams to participate in as well. The team camp will take place July 13-14 and will give teams the chance to play at least five games against other teams at the camp. The registration fee is $300 dollars per team and space is limited with signup based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
