Former Sycamore Standout Gabe Moore Flourishes In Germany

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.  ? Former Indiana State basketball standout Gabe Moore is making a name for himself in Germany playing professional basketball.  Through six games, Moore is leading the SOBA Rh?ndorf Dragons with 19.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and has helped the squad to a perfect 6-0 record.

 

In the team's last game on November 1, Moore exploded for a season-high 37 points in a 103-82 victory over the UBC Hannover Tigers.  The Little Rock, Ark., native finished the game 15-for-18 from the field including a perfect 13-for-13 from inside the arch.  Moore also added a team-high eight assists and three steals to help his team remain undefeated.

 

Moore finished his playing career at Indiana State after the 2007-08 season, after averaging 12.2 points per game while collecting a team-high 141 assists.  In his four years at ISU, Moore collected 1,223 points with ranks 17th on the school's all-time scoring list.  Moore also ranks third in school history with 203 steals behind Larry Bird and Nate Green who collected 240, fifth all-time in assists at with 444 and sixth all-time in 3-point field goals made with 120.

 

Moore and his teammates return to action on Saturday, November 8, when they face off against Proveo Merlins.
