The Basics -- Indiana State looks to capture its first non-conference tournament title today at Loyola Marymount with a win over the host Lions since taking the 1998 Nassau Bahama Shootout title with victories over Long Island and Fairfield. ISU downed San Diego State on Friday evening to run its record to a perfect 3-0, its first such start since the 2002-03 campaign. ISU will be looking to lift off the current campaign today with a fourth consecutive victory. The Sycamores have not done that since winning four consecutive games to open that same 1998-99 season.

Series Notes - Today's matchup against Loyola Marymount is the first between the two programs.

About The Indiana State Coach - Indiana State head coach Jim Wiedie is in his eighth year at the helm of the Sycamore women's basketball program. The 2003 and 2006 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year, Wiedie led the Sycamores to the conference's outright regular season championship in 2006 and has guided ISU into the postseason in three of the last five years. He is 130-77 at Indiana State, and is facing Loyola Marymount for the first time as a head coach.

Wiedie In Non-Conference Games - The Sycamores have compiled a 44-19 record in regular season non-conference games under Jim Wiedie, including a 22-3 mark in regular season non-conference games played at Hulman Center.

Up Next -- Indiana State returns back to the Midwest to take on Eastern Illinois, Thursday, November 29. Tip-off from Charleston, Ill., is set for 8:00 p.m. (EST).
