TERRE HAUTE, IN ? The White team ensured a meaningful game three of the Indiana State baseball teams ISU Fall World Series with an impressive 8-2 victory over the Blue at Sycamore Field on Friday.
The final game of the series will be played Saturday starting at 2:30 p.m. at Sycamore Field.
After having just four hits in the opening game of the series on Thursday, the White team erupted for 11 hits in the second game Friday. Brady Shoemaker continued his assault on the Blue team pitching with three hits. Brian Oliver also collected three hits on the day.
Oliver drove in two runs as did Sean Osborne for the White team.
David Gurbach picked up the win with five plus innings of work. He allowed two runs on six hits while striking out five. Nate Inman took the loss for the Blue team, giving up six runs and walking five.
Ryan Strausborger and Andrew Trepel had two hits each for the Blue team.
