TERRE HAUTE, Ind – This summer, Sycamore Athletics will revisit some of the best moments of the 2016-17 season with the Sycamore Top-10.
Coming in at No. 10 is All-American track star
Alethia Marrero earning the Missouri Valley Conference's Most Outstanding Female Track Athlete award at the MVC Outdoor Championships, which is awarded each year to the student-athlete with the top national performance at the conference meet.
After missing the 2016 outdoor season due to injury, Marrero returned to the track with a vengeance in 2017. Indoors she led a one-two punch in the 800-meter alongside freshman
Imani Davis, and outdoors she took the MVC 400-meter hurdles title at a blistering career-best time of 57.63 – then ranked No. 16 in the NCAA.
