ST LOUIS – Indiana State's
Triston Polley has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week, the league announced Monday. It marks the first weekly honor for Polley in his career at Indiana State and the second MVC honor for the Sycamores this season.

Polley was dominant in his Saturday start against Illinois State, going seven and a third innings, allowing just one run on three hits. The Avon, Indiana product struck out five and walked just one in the outing.

The southpaw retired 13-straight batter before a walk in the seventh inning. Illinois State got the offense going late though, scoring eight runs in the final two innings of play to secure the win.

The Sycamores will play host to in-state foe Purdue Tuesday with first pitch set for 6 p.m. Indiana State will then head to West Lafayette to take on Purdue at Alexander Field Wednesday at 6 p.m.
