ST. LOUIS – Patrycja Dziekonska has been named the MVC Female Track Athlete of the Week and Jaime Murtagh has been named the MVC Male Field Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.

Patrycja Dziekonska was the top finisher in the hurdles for the Sycamore women at the Gibson Invite, taking second overall in the 100-meter hurdles with a new wind-legal personal-best time of 13.79. Dziekonska now leads the MVC and sits at 48th in the NCAA East Region.
 
Jaime Murtagh // Sr. // Jumps // Ashbourne, Ireland
Jaime Murtagh was feeling good in the men's high jump at the Gibson Invite for Indiana State, as he put on an impressive performance that resulted in the first win of the day. Murtagh ended up clearing a height of 2.18m (7-01.75), which is fourth in school history and ninth all-time in Irish outdoor history. He now leads the conference, is eighth in the NCAA East Region and 12th in the nation.
